😭😭 It's so annoying, to have a very clear idea of what kind of story I want, but so very specific that nothing quite fits the bill 😩 But I'm sticking to this one because FOX CUDDLES 🦊🦊

The one I remember is Snuggleslut by Amy Bellows, it's about arctic fox shifters. It wasn't bad but I didn't LOVE it. Hopefully it's what you crave right now? ♥️

Aw thank you, my dear friend! ♥️ That's amazing cause the shifter here is also an arctic fox! 😳 I don't think it's what I'm looking for, I'm not in the mood for alpha/omega dynamics and sex, just adorable cuddles while the shifter is in their animal form 🥰 It's such a weirdly specific mood :D

No ok, then Snuggleslut wouldn't be the right one for you now. There weren't cuddles for the sake of cuddling from what I recall, they always led to sex (that's why I didn't love it).

Yeah I got that vibe from the blurb! And you know, despite the lack of worldbuilding, I'm actually loving the way this book satisfies my specific craving - it's a reluctant witch who finds his familiar, not knowing the fox is actually a shifter who is (for a reason yet unknown) unable to shift back to his human form 😳 I'll report back with a review once I'm done but I'm LOVING the cuddles I'm getting 🥰

It's always so hard when you're looking for something specific. I'm afraid I can't help—I have that exact book on my TBR list for exactly that reason. I hope it gives you at least some of what you're looking for. And if you ever find the perfect fox-shifter book, let me know. Foxes are just so wonderful.
I read a short, interesting story, but I can't remember if there was any cuddling in it—still, it might be a little gem worth reading: The Ronin and The Fox by Cornelia Grey

I think I may have mentioned it on a different post of Teru's 😅 But, for anyone that is interested, Where Foxes Hunt with Wolves by K.A. Merikan is a fantastic fox shifter mm romance. 💕

Does an antropomorphic fox count instead of shifter? I really liked Fox of Fox Hall.

Isn't it?? And if I were in the mood for some shifter sex, that would have been much easier, but noo, brain needs CUDDLES first, and maaaybe sex much later xD And this book drives me up a wall kinda because it delivers PERFECTLY what I'm craving 😍 Yet I can't say it's particularly good because the great parts exist in a vacuum where the broader storytelling should be. So, I'm conflicted, but loving it, but mourning the lost potential, at the same time 😂 (at least so far, I'm just halfway in!)

Ooh, no I haven't! Thank you, Natacha, seems like there ARE some fox shifter stories 😳 My current mood doesn't call for alpha/omega dynamics or a particularly steamy read, but I don't think I'm done with the foxes so I'll keep it in mind ♥️

And I'd love to reread this series, but I was going to reread Whyborne & Griffin this year. (And my Ginn Hales are still waiting.)

But, Hexworld IS ONLY 4 books and 3 novellas. Gah.
