Omg, they were so cute in the Before! The ocean scene and then the way they had to carve out time for each other and their ideas for change 🥰🥺
And then that hug in the Present looked so comforting! It’s so sad that they have to stay separated on opposite sides 😢
Hopefully Maris can help Luca with the hidden messages so that she can show some allegiance to the New Legion as a spy

Dang, they really taught the legionnaires everything they needed to know to rebel. It’s so true that science is usually behind the advantages gained in war. Everything is always used for weapons and the gain of power
I love how both Maris and Luca are honest kids. Their relationship is so cute, where they don’t expect the other to be so similar in thought

I do wonder why the magistrates are not worried about the rebellion when the Legion seems like it’s about to win? What do they have planned?

The Before chapters are too short!! 😭 They are literally like Romeo and Juliet, she’s this beautiful goddess like a bird locked in a cage and he’s this handsome newcomer with new ideas. They really could’ve taken over the Forum if they had more time 😢
Instead they have to look for each other on different sides of the war. She was just inducted as a Magistrate, and the New Legion is about to attack
