It’s a three to four star book for me. I liked the concept and characters but it didn’t stand out.

I loved how past and present were intertwined. However, I did not like that every single man cheated on his wife. It connected Alma’s father with Filomena’s mother but other than that. I don’t really understand why it had to be included.

The writing style is really unique.

I really like the idea.

I’ve seen this book various times on BookTok and now that it’s part of a Goodreads challenge I’ll finally read it.
