He’s kinda losing me here with all this talk about “black bile” and “the humors” and “vapors” and how hysteria is a disease of the uterus…..I know it’s all what medicine thought mental illness was at the time but I feel like his argument falls flat when he relies on outdated methodology when he could be arguing a much more interesting historically relevant point
