This is the final page of The Captive 559/957. The two books are in one volume. I am so enlightened with the beautiful prose and this is such an amazing read for me. Again we read the tea served with the Madeline cake and the memories that the narrator is confronted with. He reflects on smells and sights which bring on those memories, flowers, music, art, books new forms of transportation and the people.
