Enjoying it for the most part - feels like it could have been shorter as a whole and on long sittings feels a bit like eating too much cake.
The Donna/Van section again reminded me of the first King, but that’s not a bad thing - echoes of Firestarter and The Institute - very readable, but adds to the feeling this is not just one novel.

Difficult to read this without comparing the writing to his dad, which is so similar to the style Sai King used to write in the 90’s and early 2000’s. It doesn’t help when Hill drops (not so subtle) easter eggs in there from The Dead Zone and The Gunslinger. Having said all that, it’s one of the few books (if not the only book) recently that has had me reading for the pleasure of reading, and not obligation
