Lastly He prayed in conversation. Praying in private and teaching His disciples the next. He prayed without ceasing. He is our example now we can go to Him in prayer approaching the throne of grace in our time of need. He invites us graciously into relationship with Him in confidence whatever we ask in His Name He will do so that the Father be glorified in the Son. Pray effectively like Jesus He will come through.

He also prayed on the boat with His disciples though they were in fear he showed them His true identity not to impress them but to encourage them. Jesus prayed during important events more than once. When He separated the loaves of bread and the fish He first looked to Heaven to the glory of God. He also prayed after important events. He prayed for us for those who would believe in preaching the gospel.

When you pray in public know your not pleasing or creating an audience or to be seen by people it should humble and to the point. We need to forget ourselves and die to our flesh and focus on God in this Holy moment. God is our audience He makes things happen we dont we just request it to Him. Jesus prayed before events. He had a ministry of prayer. Seeking the Father's Will preparing for what was to come.

Jesus is our ultimate teacher an example of how prayer is effective, even He prayed to the Father. He would pray in private where he went to the deserted places. He talked to The Father in secret. He knew when it was time to go away from the crowds to pray it solitude away from the noise. He prayed in public as well when He raised Lazarus from the dead. The Father heard His request and the people believed.

We should pursue rich fellowship with other believers. We should be there for eachother speaking truth in love by praying, forgiving, and gathering. Not to be negative sulking, being sour or isolating. In thriving churches people are willing to seek God together, humbling themselves, praying together, and walking in His Grace and forgiveness. The church is imperfect, we can come together to fulfill what He died for.

If lives are being changed God is moving in a church that is walking in obedience and not spiritually depleted. Some churches may not be seeing prayers answered because not many people are being saved baptized or discipled or evidence of unity growth or fruitfulness that lasts. As in the church of Acts the church wasn't free from problems because it was filled with imperfect people just like churches today.

Sometimes there are leaders dealing with their own problems in their lives that can distract them from teaching the Word of God and adding to it their own opinions as truth. Other churches are led by the Word of God teaching scripture straight from the Bible. We should always discern what we are hearing as truth as it can be mixed up and taught as opinions mixed in scripture...

A chapter on the church as a whole and the leaders we look to in the church. We are part of a loving unified body of believers.Many people across as those the church of Acts was so perfect and in fact it wasn't. Every church is made up of people it can never be perfect it needs strong leadership the body of believers can look to, making sure they are not being led astray. Not every church is a good church...

This chapter was very simple and simplified we as a church are the body of Christ when we come together we are able to do a lot of good. Not one person is supposed to do all the work. Every part just like the the body can't function without a certain member of the body missing every part is important. We are able to serve one another just like it says in scripture. Each one of us in the Body of Christ is important.

We overcome so much evil and reach so many people when we pray. The impossible can happen when we intercede for the souls of men. God answers prayers for a praying church. We are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation. The Church is the light of the world as Jesus said. We grow to be more like Him, believers fulfilling Christ's mission the world will then see Jesus in ways we couldn't show on our own.
