Certain aspects are different from the books, but I honestly think that’s necessary because you can’t adapt a book page by page into a show. There will always be changes to make things more visual, cinematic, or believable for a wider audience. Some additions and alterations actually help enhance the story in a different medium.
My only real complaint is that I feel like we didn’t get enough Hannah and Garrett, especially in the later four episodes. They’re such nuanced characters, and their relationship works because of the quieter moments, the emotional depth, and the natural chemistry between them rather than constant drama. I just wish the show had spent a little more time exploring that dynamic.
