I love this book so much

The chapters here aren't as long as in A Taste of Gold and Iron, Rowland's previous book in this world, but they're also not all 5 pages long, either, and yet, the pacing in this is good. I don't feel like they've got a hand on my back, constantly shoving me forward through the story the way books with super short chapters do, demanding I go faster, faster.

Rowland's previous book, A Taste of Gold and Iron, is 1000% my favourite book. This one is very tonally different, though it's in the same universe, and despite that difference I am already head over heels for this.
