The intrusive narrative adds a certain flair and oddity to the style. Ita a little distracting, but also intriguing because of the hints it gives. This story feels larger than 1 book. I have found a good flow in it, but it is very introductory. It gives me Clan of the Cave Bear vibes.

Hmmm. I'm not sure. I get sucked in, but the writing style is outside my norm and there is a lot of confusion here. It adds to the realistic situation the character is in, but it doesn't flow very smoothly. It's for aspects that I find absolutely fascinating, but it's in muddy water.
