I had to pause during each few pages because the details was too horrific. Despite feeling the hatred of what happened in the past, I cannot disagree that this book is a well written context.

I had to stop a quite few times because the details were too graphic. I could imagine myself being there, witnessing the whole thing happened and being helpless even if I'm an official that is strong enough to fight but without proper support, it's impossible.

It’s only page 47 and I can’t imagine the horror that Chinese victims endured during that period. I just read a few passage from different pages, my stomach churned, my heart breaks. These innocent civilians, the elderly, the children. Not only that, I’m just appalled that a kid as young as eleven are trained to be a soldier, to train psychologically and physically to be loyal to their own country and government.
