This is pretty average in terms of common fantasy scenarios but I'm not super invested in the storyline. The cannibalism bit got me fucked up though. It's definitely better than the first book, but it's not hooking me.

book 1 being titled "Riftbourne" and book 2 being "Duskbound" is like if Twilight was called "Vampire" and New Moon "Werewolf" like be so for real
