Breaking the bond with the sword was a good twist.

I like it that Sigrid came back at the end.

The scene where Cass was knighted was good. The story has picked up a bit but I'm not enthralled.

Not immersed immediately. It might be because I have just finished a book that I really enjoyed and I wasn't as invested in this story anyway.
