The Poet stands out. Olive sees Angela, a former student, in town. Angela wasn't anybody but then she became a confessional poet, and US poet laureate. And Andrea writes about Olive. The last bit was hard to read, about Olive in assisted living. So many estranged husbands and wives end up saying after the other is dead how I loved him/her. I didn't care for Jack at first but I see now how Olive loved Henry and Jack.

I don’t think it’s better than the first olive but pretty damn good. I think olive starting over with jack, delivering a baby, visiting a sick younger woman, it’s all so believable. Her in a red puffy coat! And it’s definitely francis Mcdormand!

Audiobook. So far jack a middle aged man who has had some intimacies with olive reflects on his life. His wife Betsy had been angry that she was going to die and he wasn’t though he had been a cheater. It turns out she cheated too.
