Clint Bungles How's it reading?

Kevin Majestyck I think the best comparison is how Vice was before it expanded into include political news. It’s a lot of fringe stuff; interviews with fetishists, stories about modern cults, essays on consumerism. It’s good if you have a general interest in stuff but not as cohesive in regards to the apocalypse as initially thought. Reader’s Digest for cynical weirdos!

Clint Bungles Good stuff. The only thing that I can think of thats somewhat comparable is Dan Carlins book from a few years back.

message 4: by Clint (new)

Clint Bungles That SEEMS comparable. Based entirely of a book blurb and your description ;)

Kevin Majestyck I used to listen to Carlin’s History podcast. Not sure if he stopped or if I just forgot to check back in. But he’s an interesting guy.

Kevin Majestyck Also, because Apocalypse Culture was written like 35 years ago, some of the essays don’t feel sound anymore in light of advancement of knowledge. But I’m reading it more for entertainment than some sort of fact check anyway.

Clint Bungles I was big on History on Fire for a spell but havent checked in a while. Hardcore History episodes are like 6 hours, too long for me. Im pretty sure hes still doing an episode or two per year.

Kevin Majestyck Yep. His Khan one covers 3 generations of Mongol empire I think.
