I was so close to abandoning this book AGAIN. If I have to listen to Dani bitch one more time about her parents, I’m going to lose my shit. Because this is her trauma: Her parents were best friends, had one drunken hookup where they conceived her, and raised her as husband and wife all the way till she was 17. And she doesn’t believe in love because of THAT. My parents hate each other — fuck your pity party
