Every time Pynchon writes a new book (which isn’t often), I always pick it up and tell myself “This will be the one that makes me a fan.” But it still hasn’t happened. This read was a struggle. 1930’s CIA spy noir novel with time appropriate slang sounds like a fun time but there appeared to be too much jumping around. Maybe I’ll “get” the next one.
