haHAA I'm finally making progress in this book!!! At this part in the novel, Rushdie is presenting the world as an orchestra in disconcert, and I don't know if it's a take I agree with. I mean, the world is one big ecosystem isn't it? Everything in the world, from trees to people to the air we breathe, is a a part of the system, and when we die, we nourish the system - bringing our hate, our evil, our malice with us.
