Sometimes I would sit for a long time in front of my grandfather staring into his face, wondering if he would turn to the north even once. But my grandfather would turn his head to the right every 5 minutes like an electrical doll, looking only toward the south. It gave me a sad feeling. It seemed uncanny. But to the south was a sunny place; I wondered if the south felt ever so slightly lighter even to a blind man.
