Tolkin-esque, beautifully written and truly great.
This is worldbuilding at its best, with just enough woven into the story to make perfect sense, no paragraphs of infodumping or pages upon pages of lore. Le Guin tells Geds tale simply, without ever giving the impression of the plot itself being simple. Can't wait for book two!
