I started this a few months ago and can't get through it ... it feels like I'm reading a repeat of the first book and all the progress we had was for nothing. I just got till chapter 6 idk if it will get better ... it's really difficult for me to continue but I also don't want to give up on this book

Have you read the novellas? You shouldn't skip it because there you see the important milestones of their relationship (plus you're treated to many sweet moments). It slowly progresses. We also see that both have their own problems and bagage, but I think it's realistic given their identities.

And yes, it does seem in the beginning of this book that they're back where they were started, but as I read further the situation isn't that bad. Their relationship clearly keeps developing, although with a lot of hurdles. I still have 6 chapters left, but it seems that the author intentionally misleads us to think it's that bad.

Ou that's good to know! I read the Novellas that's why I was even more confused why we are back to square one in book two. Good to hear that it's not just a repeat of book one that def motivates me to continue reading it
