I am officially starting to get worried… things are off, I think? This whole book has had such an ominous vibe to it…

The tension is so delicate and yet so thick between these two, & while nothing has happened —nothing can happen— the heartbreak is already unbearable somehow…

~ I pulled my knees against my chest and tucked my chin in and felt warm and weightless and as soft as lamb's wool. I felt protected and noticed and a hundred other naive, silly, girlish things.

I don’t have the proper words to explain how this book is making me feel, but my entire face aches from the constant silent smiling, the confusion, the giggling and the intrigue. It all makes me feel like I’m a witness to something sacred, something secret, something that needs to be protected & cherished at all costs… and for some reason that really scares me…
