Today’s progress was painfully slow, not because the book got boring, but because it turned my brain into a Windows 1 software computer stuck on the loading screen. I genuinely found myself staring at the wall in silence trying to process the layers of pain, compromise, and suffering in this story. I to take a break, a walk and a snack for my mental health. That is the devastation of this book.

Thought I needed a little break from the heartbreak and emotional torture, so I picked up Rewind It Back. Five pages later, I was right back in the trenches of my psychological warfare book because apparently I enjoy suffering. This slow burn is starving me, and I became the little kid holding a plate saying "Mother, may I have some more?" begging for a scrap of intimacy here.
Off to bed to think about all this now.

Just finished Part 1 of Alchemised and my brain is still trying to process everything. The world building is dense, dark, and immersive, and now it feels like we’re finally moving into the character work. Honestly, I expected at least a hint of attraction between them by now, but instead I’m just unsettled and confused. Anyway… onto the remaining emotional devastation. 🙃
