couldn’t fix his relationship with Emmet on his own in the first place. He and Emmet had been having issues since before the mom died, but her dying made it way worse. I honestly just feel sad for Emmet because both of his parents failed him, but especially his dad. It seems the reason their relationship went sour in the first place is because the mom isolated them from each other, which I understand, however after she died Luke should have been taking Emmet to therapy and doing therapy himself as well. Instead he literally just decided to accept that Emmet hates him and he’s failed as a parent and decided not to do anything about it, which just makes me dislike Luke’s character :( 3. I liked the build-up of Luke and Landon’s relationship before they got together romantically, but after they did it just feels so rushed and like the author is trying too hard to make it overly sweet and lovey dovey. also, once they got together they stopped talking and getting to know each other (at least not on-page) and just made out and did sexual things. idk i guess we’ll see from here but I’m not loving it so far.
