It was interesting to read the original version of Spinning Silver; I love the longer novel, but the short story was excellent too. I only wish I had read this first so I could be delighted by how it was reworked into a longer story, as opposed to missing the depths that the shortened version lacks.

I did find the ending of this version to be quite satisfying though. Different, but very satisfying.
