As I read this, I thought - omg she's exactly like Jo March: post Civil War female writer walking into the publishing/newspaper company looking for a job/money. Brown hair, tall, skinny, they're so similar! They were until she said, "I usually prefer dark-haired Italian men." That is the opposite of Jo March. Made me chuckle.
