Personally I think this is the perfect time in a book to introduce new crucial world building elements

I’m calling it now on page 15 that she actually falls in love with the prince/Jacks or whatever. Not very subtle to list out rules that include “don’t fall in love with a fate” ( my least favorite troupe) and the whole apple thing
