I am starting to grasp at some of the themes in the book, I think.
I am repeatedly amazed at how well McCarthy is at writing scenes and descriptions.

This book's writing is so dense, and that's not meant as an insult, but it is so dense that it requires me to read aloud to get the most out of it. This, I began doing today and had such greater success in my comprehension that I believe that it may be of worthwhile pursuit to begin reading this bout aloud from the very beginning.

Some quotes
"And so these parties divided upon that midnight plain, each passing back the way the other had come, pursuing as all travelers must inversions without end upon other men's journeys"
"Out of that whirlwind no voice spoke and the pilgrim lying in his broken bones may cry out and in his anguish he may rage, but rage at what?"
This book requires a lot of focus. Definitely worth rereading again when done.
