I find it so hard to emphatize with her rn because this whole thought process (sex hope devastation) feels so unnecessary to me. Whether you think about it that way or not, the outcome isn’t going to change so why make the experience emotionally miserable for both of you instead of opening up to him or just enjoying being with your husband… idk…
