I feel like as a police officer Garrett should be a little more paranoid. Especially as he’s researching an old murder where the girl got mysterious gifts and now the girl he’s seeing is getting mysterious gifts. At the very least your sister in-laws have been stalked and trafficked so you’d think he’d be more on guard
