The God section is great. No liberal editorializing necessary; the words of these religious nuts speak for themselves. I also wonder how many of these networks have connections to 70s movements, and not just the Jesus freaks, since the exorcisms and “demon blasting” bear eery similarities to Synanon and New Age practices.

The author would have you believe that criticizing the US’s support for Ukraine is tantamount to “Putinism,” and that the settler-colonial project known as American Democracy is worth saving from the cretins she profiles in this book. The cretins in this book are awful, don’t get me wrong, but they’re not some freaks. Fascism is a feature, not a bug, of capitalism.
