the main character, toru, sleeps with every single girl with a name, and even those without one. the characters are mind-numbingly bland & there is no depth in toru’s thoughts or feelings past what he feels for a woman’s body. not to mention the problematic sexual encounter between reiko & a 13 year old girl, that isn’t talked about critically beyond “lesbianism”. misogynistic, homophobic pile of trash.
