Very hard to suspend disbelief for the premise of this book because it is set in an otherwise realistic Great Britain. However, it brings up interesting ideas as in the utopian feminist fiction of the 1970s & 1980s that I haven’t seen in a long time. What is utopian for the women however is entirely dystopian for the men. I would love to read the same chapters from the men’s perspectives.
