Cassie demonstrates the strengths of Appalachian women. Strengths I fear are not talked about often. This perspective is fresh and new and I would love to read more from the author!

I really enjoy the complexities of the stories of women in Kentucky. Often these stories are overlooked by many. I enjoy Cassie’s public health perspective and feel other books should have similar public health narratives as well.
