This book is incredible. I might need to read more of this author's work. It's a slow burn and this plot twist (if you can call it that) is insane. I'm sad I have to go to bed because I am burning to finish this.

Actually getting very invested in the mystery of this story. I think it just took a bit of time to get off the ground for me. Want to understand the California connection. Also, surprised Dove got killed off so fast. I'm suspecting the victims are people who have killed the buffalo on this land... but that feels too obvious (duh).
