This is the kind of book I need before going to my poetry event tonight. It’s gritty. Filled with hilariously real remarks of how complicated it is to be a woman of colour even in today’s supposedly woke generation. So many thought provoking moments to dissect already. As someone with CPTSD, the author portrays trauma kind of artfully? I’ve only started reading it but I have a feeling I will devour this ASAP.
