all the mega-commentary is a bit confusing icl, i’ve seen the movie so wanted to read the source material and it’s been on my shelf for years so about time, looking forward to it but hope the commentaries aren’t too in the way, they did even say to ignore them if not interested so :/

found a beautifully read piece by classroom confidential on yt which has rekindled my love for it, while already a fantastic book, i’m struggling to read anything atm so a good audiobook to accompany me really helps. absolutely flying through this rn

but lots of reviews say that these commentaries add to the story in a surprising way as they remind us that this is a tale told to our author from his father, introducing him to stories of such, i don’t think i’m one to skip any parts of a book/movie/show etc. so i’ll be reading it all
