I really want to like this book. It’s currently number 1 on the New York Times, and I went into expecting an absurdist romp. A trad wife goes back in time? Sign me up. Instead it seems to be more a bleak satirical parable with a 1000 percent evil perfect villain who thinks herself flawless. I am stumped by this because in my experience women who hate women hate themselves most. Ex. Fashion world.
