I can’t exactly remember the first time I read Sula, but this reread has stuck with me. My favorite Toni Morrison novel is Solomon’s Song…but this is definitely next on the list. She has a way with words that makes you stop and wonder how you fit in/relate to these characters. Sula was heartbreaking, complex, and beautiful all at once.
