Definitely interesting to reframe turn of the century suburban development as an agricultural development drain vs supplying necessary housing for a growing nation. I do kind of prefer acknowledging the loss of rural industry especially as it maps onto marginalized workers over just pitting one exclusionary zoning / land use over another
