I feel like all these two characters do is have meaningless interactions with meaningless dialogue and they barely talk about anything and then they just kiss as if they love each other. The relationships in this book don’t feel genuine. I mean Kit barely knows a single thing about Niamh’s life. I think the best part of this book is the side character Sinclair, because the romance isn’t romancing.

The relationships between the characters in this book still feel really awkward and unnatural. It’s very slow and hardly anything has happened in the plot or between the characters, yet the two main characters kissed already? It just doesn’t feel very genuine. I do feel bad for Kit, the way his brother treats him is quite sad. But this book is progressing very slowly.

This book is kind of slow and a bit boring so far but I like the set up of it with the atmosphere and magic clothing and stuff so hopefully the rest of the book plays out well. I feel like the scenes that are supposed to be romantic or full of tension are just so awkward although. They feel forced, and there’s little real chemistry between the characters.

The dialogue in this book is quite awkward, and interactions at times seem rather unnatural or forced. It is not flowing very well so far. I’m also starting to think less and less that Kit is responsible for the Lovelace paper, but you can never be so sure.
