the prose is kind of exhausting me to be honest. nothing is ever told straight — it’s constant metaphor, comparison, contrast. a lot of beautiful images are conjured, evocative ones, but it’s rare that i get a moment to breathe between them. kind of feeling a 3/5 right now. we’ll see where it goes.
