all of the men in this book are disgusting. yes, including geoffrey. he's so performative it pisses me off, and his behavior is a bit weird and creepy. and don't even get me started on george. absolutely repulsive.

@gray i'd say yes! the author does a great job of portraying everyday bigotry that we don't always call out because people don't think it's directly harmful, and i think in this book it hits so hard because it’s not so cartoonishly or dramatically evil but it's definitely still there
You spend the whole book just wishing so hard for her to eat all their eyeballs
