I felt the same way, and it’s not his usual style! He’s writing from the perspective of a storyteller character and really leans into it haha

I agree^ I feel like if this was my first book by him I would have struggled more with the style, but I enjoyed it knowing the storyteller from other books 🫠 I HOPE IT GETS BETTER FOR YOU !!!!
