I’m enjoying this book. It’s fun to revisit hard core epic fantasy after some time away.

The gender dynamics in The Wheel of Time are… interesting. Why are the women all concerned with “civilizing”, “housebreaking,” and “training” men, like they are alternately children or animals?

The problem with chosen ones is they have so little choice. Love it.

A sisterhood of witches plots and a magical burden that corrupts its user. A world story that moves to fulfill its own prophecies. Rumors of darkness stirring.
