This is a minor thing, but I still wanted to write about it. I liked the mention of Ryanna changing her clothes in the closet. I can relate to that since I'm not a big fan of changing my clothes around other people. Hooray for body image issues!! 😣 Although, Ryanna's reason for changing privately was never mentioned and that's okay.

Later in the chapter, it was mentioned that Ryanna's cast was wrapped in a trash bag so that she could still kayak. I get why using a trash bag as a cover could be effective or helpful. Also, kayaking wouldn't involve a person's broken arm being submerged in water unless the kayak tipped over.

Five days after I’d broken my arm, I’d gone back to Stroudsburg Hospital and had gotten a cast—bright pink—along with dire warnings about what would happen if I got the cast wet.

I thought there were covers that went over a cast to prevent them from getting wet. 🤔 I'm guessing that a cast can't be submerged in water. That's a no-brainer.

I had a feeling that the picnic table where Casey's family took pictures of her would be connected to the treasure. That was predictable, but I don't mind that.

Hattie is a real kick in the pants. She's a fun character. 😀

Dang!! Morgan Matson is putting Ryanna through the wringer rn. Poor fictional kiddo. 😣😟

That chapter ended on a shocking note. I'm going to read some of the next chapter but not all of it. I'm too tired and I need to listen to my body.

Ryanna is smart for figuring out her mother's clues that'll lead to the treasure.
