I actually laughed out loud when at the end of part one he says “I have penned the preceding pages; and I leave them to speak for themselves, without any attempt at ornament or style.” As if it didn’t include some of the most moving and poetic writing I’ve ever read. He’s just built like that.

Half way through and I think this has to be my new favorite book ever. Absolutely incredible. I have waaaay too many highlights to include here. If I had a high budget to make any movie or show I would make a tv show about Jon Paton’s life.
We all need more stories of Godly saints as examples to spur us on to greater worship and obedience!!!
