I honestly still don’t know what I think about this book. I want to like it so badly. The unknown monster part is intriguing but I truly hate each of the male characters (except Zach) even though I can barely tell them apart and they all seem stupid. And what happened to Zach’s mom? Or is that part of the mystery?

So far, this isn’t grabbing me. I know nothing about skiing and it seems that it would be helpful if I did. I feel for “Zakky,” so there’s some character development there. But otherwise it’s just OK. I will give it 100 pages and then decide. I really want to like it. But no money lost if I don’t.
