Decided this is a DNF more than halfway through. Life is too short to read books I am too old and too picky about my fantasy worldbuilding to be the right audience for. Feeling weird about this because either a.) there’s some misplaced sense that I have to finish what I start and I’m MORE than half done or b.) the cover is SO pretty.
