Malta’s turn around as a character has been phenomenal. I’m so glad we got to see her come into her own - I think if the author were a man or any lesser than Hobb would have left Malta to remain as a foul spoiled child (looking at Geoffrey and George R R Martin…) - but Hobb understood her as a child and gave her the space to flourish. I love how her women become so strong and powerful.
